Buy a 5.5 regatta stopwatch from Mondaine

Mondaine is a swiss watchmaker and André Bernheim who is one of her owner and a 5.5 sailor has designed a special watch for sailors.

It is personalized with the 5.5 logo, it has the 10 and the 5 minutes countdown functionality with the ability to realign your timing if you missed the first gun.

It also includes an alarm-clock.

5.5 hard-chine project

Design essay for a hard-chine hull, idea: Ambrose Johnson, designer: Sébastien Schmidt. Basis: hull of SUI-201 Marie-Françoise XIV, possible material: plywood/aluminum. Advantage: low-cost construction method, very little wetted surface difference compared to a "traditional" design.
Two models (SUI-201 & hard-chine project) were tank tested at the engineering School of Geneva for comparison.
